A Rainy Spring Wedding Full of Tears and Tender Moments | Becca & Tyson at The Austin T. Finch House

a beautiful day for these sweethearts!
There’s something magical about spring weddings, and Becca and Tyson’s day at The Austin T. Finch House in Thomasville, NC was no exception. Tucked just outside of Winston-Salem and Greensboro in the Triangle area, this historic venue offered the perfect mix of Southern charm and lush greenery—even on a rainy day.
From the moment my team arrived, the emotions were already running high. Tears flowed freely throughout the day—from the bride and groom during their first touch and prayer, to their families watching them exchange vows under the soft patter of spring rain. It was intimate, heartfelt, and so deeply moving.
Becca’s bridesmaids wore dreamy shades of blue that perfectly complemented the soft garden tones of their DIY florals (yes—DIY!!), which looked straight out of a flower field. Every bouquet was handcrafted with love, adding such a personal and delicate touch to the day. Their laughter echoed through the gardens as they helped Becca get ready, and we captured some of my favorite group portraits beneath a crisp white arbor, framed by natural greenery all around.
Despite the rain, the day felt incredibly warm and joyful. The venue’s sprawling grounds and towering trees created the perfect serene backdrop, and the soft mist in the air only added to the romantic atmosphere. One of the most touching moments was Becca and Tyson’s “first touch.” They stood back to back, holding hands around a corner, sharing a quiet prayer before the ceremony. Not a dry eye in sight—including mine behind the lens.
Every single moment of their day was filled with love and intention. It was an absolute honor to document their story. Enjoy a preview of their beautiful day!
